In the spirit of the game and in support of the Uganda Cranes’ bid in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has rewarded 10 of their loyal customers with fully paid trips to Gabon.
The team of 10 winners was Monday morning flagged off at the International Resource Centre in Bugolobi, ahead of Uganda Cranes’ clash with Ghana Black stars on Tuesday January 17th.
NWSC Director for Engineering, Eng. Alex Gisagara said that the move was in line with the Corporation’s Strategic Direction 2017-2021, under the Strategic Performance Area (SPA 3) of Customer and Stakeholder Delight and in support of the national team which managed to qualify after 39 years.
“Our customer is the king and this team of customers will be our Ambassadors in Gabon. We are offering excellent customer care to our customers travelling to Gabon. All expenses are paid,” he said.
Eng. Gisagara lauded customers who pay bills in time, pledging continued support for the national team and general sports in the country.
“Our customers who pay bills promptly are helping us extend services to the unserved. NWSC will continue to support sports in Uganda,” he said.
One of the winners displays a dummy ticket to Gabon.
According to NWSC Public Relations Manager, Sam Apedel, two customers were drawn from each of the five regions where the Corporation operates and their names put in a raffle draw to get the winners.
“The names were sent in by area and regional managers and final draw was conducted after the Regional submissions to nominate the winning Customers,” said Apedel.
“The winning Customers ranked highest in being; Good NWSC customers who regularly pay their bills, who support NWSC in sensitization and promote its brand among the communities thereby yielding influence among the customers,” he added.
On the three day trip in Gabon, NWSC customers will be accommodated for the 3 nights, all the inland travel to Gabon, pick up from the Airport, Visa and Match tickets are all catered for and an allowance for the 3 days meals shall also be provided.
