A police officer, one of those that made up today’s guard of honor for President Yoweri Museveni ahead of the 2016/17 National Budget presentation fainted and collapsed on parade.
The unidentified officer fell down at once as the parade prepared to welcome the president at the Kampala Serena Conference Center.
The officer collapsed at around 2:00pm
It is said that the parade was staged at around 9:00am in the morning and some officers had not eaten anything since then.

The officer collapsed at around 2:00pm before the President arrived a few minutes later.
He was attended to by Parliament’s First Aid unit which was present at Serena Conference Centre.

The commanders thereafter decided to give water to the rest of the members of the parade to avoid another fainting.
