The body of the fallen Brigadier General Victor Twesigye Marengano, the Uganda Military Attache to the East African Community in Arusha, Tanzania was on Saturday laid to rest at his ancestral Home in Kisiizi, in Rukungiri district.
Brig. Twesigye died suddenly on Thursday at his home after he slid and fell in his bathroom, a day after he returned from Kampala.
Speaking to mourners at the funeral, Major Gen. Dr Ambrose Musinguzi the UPDF Chief of Medical Services revealed that the general had suffered a fatal blood clot.

On his part, Deputy CDF Lt. Gen Wilson Mbadi described the late Twesigye as a disciplined and committed army officer who worked hard for the good of the country and his family.
He said the deceased excelled both at work and also aptly supported his family despite being away from home all the time.
Dr Chris Baryomunsi the State Minister said the death of Brigadier Twesigye was a big blow to government and to the UPDF.
The minister also took time off to remind locals on the need to maintain the preventative measures against Civid19.
He was speaking in response to the large crowd of people that showed up for the funeral but were turned away to avoid crowding.
Brig Twesigye received a thirteen-gun salute, usually accorded to fallen army officers from the rank of Brigadier.
The deceased left behind three children.
Brig. Twesigye was one of three UPDF Generals who passed away this week, the other being Brig. Gen Jackson Bell Tushabe and Maj General Erick Mukasa.
Maj General Kasirye Ggwanga also passed away earlier this month.
