One Special Forces soldier attached to State House Entebbe has been killed by lightening this morning, Chimpreports has learnt.
The development has been confirmed by the elite force’s publicist, Maj. Chris Magezi when reached by this website.
“It’s true. We lost one of our soldiers early in the morning, following a lightning strike,” he said.
The deceased, Magezi said had been deployed together with three others as guard posts along the State House security fence when the tragedy hit.
“One was killed and two others were injured and are being treated in Hospital,” he said.
The identities of the deceased and the injured cannot be revealed on the advice of the Special Forces spokesperson, who said their families need to be contacted first.
This development was also confirmed by the President’s Media Secretary, Mrs. Lindah Nabusayi, who told us on phone, “Sadly It’s true. The lightening hit this morning at 6:30 am. One has died and two are currently receiving medical attention.”
