Dr Francis Mwesigye Runumi, the loser in the Kabale Municipality Parliamentary polls has been appointed Chairman of the Kabale Regional Referral Hospital board.
Dr Runumi before quitting civil service last year to join elective politics was the Commissioner of Planning in the Ministry of Health.
Kabale District Chairman Besigye Keihwa also appointed Kabale prominent lawyer Rev. Ezra Bikangiso, Donati Ruhamyampaka and Dr Patrick Tusiime from the health ministry on the same hospital board.
Other are Albert Mutungwire Matsiko the Kabale district CAO, Fidel Niringiye, Timothy Nkensiga, Canon Ben Bwagi Rulonga, Dr. Alex Andama Edward Kabuye, Christine Susan Akurut, Sister Immaculate Mandera and Lunciata Kamateka.

Dr Runumi appointment was on Wednesday announced by the LC5 Chairman Keihwa during the Kabale district council session at the Kabale Lukiiko hall that was presided over by the Kabale district speaker Pastoli Twinomuhangi.
Keihwa told the council that he appointed Dr Runumi for his vast experience in the health sector.
He also appointed Davidskyluck Kagoma on the land board and Beatrice Twayaga as a commissioner on the district service commission.
These two also lost in the recent polls as councilors for Rubaya Sub County and central division respectively.
