The Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Ambassador James Mugume says the cause of Njuneki’s death is still unknown.
“The doctors in Johannesburg are still examining the body; we are awaiting the postmortem,” he told us.
He added that the entire process of examining the body and arranging for its return may take up to two days.
“Once we are sure of the return, then we can start talking funeral arrangements,” Mugume revealed.
12 months ago, Uganda lost its Internal Affairs Minister Gen Aronda Nyakairima, in a similar fashion.
On his way from Seoul in South Korea, Gen Nyakairima was found lying dead in his seat by flight attendants just before landing in Dubai.
