The Kampala City Hall Court has issued a warrant of arrest for former Presidential candidate in the February elections Pastor Elton Joseph Mabirizi.
Mabirizi, who made a name through his comic stunts and remarks during the presidential campaigns, was dragged to court for illegally erecting a building along Hoima Road without an approved plan from Kampala Capital City Authority.
The prosecution side in the matter has already proved to Grade One Magistrate Moses Nabende that on several occasions Mabirizi has been served with court summons to appear and plea to charges but without a response.
Magistrate Nabende has now ordered police to arrest Mabirizi and bring him before court not later than 29th of this month.
Mabirizi is also jointly charged in another case with city businessman Ssalongo Kasawuli and another Pastor Eldard Mulira for erecting a building at Nateete behind Uchumi Supermarket.
