Authorities in Denmark are holding in detention three Ugandan purported homosexuals while processing their deportation.

Reports from the European country indicate that three Ugandan women who claimed to be lesbians fleeing persecution in Uganda had their applications for asylum in Denmark rejected.

The trio is being held at detention center in the Danish Island of Zealand, which is a closed institution for detained asylum seekers; and are expected to be repatriated back home on August 2nd.

The women had reportedly lived in the country for three years awaiting clearance for the asylum.

Immigration Authorities under the Danish Police reportedly revealed that they found inconsistencies in the claims of the self-professed Ugandan lesbians.

The officials also dismissed the possibility that three women would be assaulted or prosecuted if sent back home.

Recently there were reports that many Ugandans were utilizing the Anti – Homosexuality law — which was struck by court in 2014, to seek citizenship in western countries.

A report indicated that organizations were encouraging and helping hundreds of youths in Ugandan and Kenya to apply for citizenship in Europe, claiming to be fleeing homophobic persecution in their home countries.

The Danish government decision to repatriate the three Ugandans is reportedly the first of its kind.
