The Annual Buzz Teenz Awards event, one of the longest running Awards in Uganda with the view of representing youth voices, is back.
This year’s event however is being held differently because of the Covid 19 pandemic.
While announcing the event yesterday, Gloria Ssenyonjo the show host said because of the pandemic, this year’s event will be held virtually.
MTN Uganda through their youth lifestyle platform Pulse partnered with Buzz for the second year running.
“We are happy to bring the Pulse lifestyle to Buzz Teenz Awards and we have lined up a lot of stuff to be won,’’ Hellen Kirungi, the MTN Youth Segment Manager elaborated during the launch.
During this year, two new categories have been added, namely; Teenz Fashion Star to celebrate that person whose sense of fashion inspires the teens; and Teenz Underground Rapper.
Under the latter, contenders don’t need to have released a song but participants will only be required to record themselves with a phone and share videos of their rap skills.
The Categories include; Teenz Artist of the Year, Teenz Male Artist, Teenz Female Artist, Teenz Hottest Song Writer
Teenz Under Ground Rapper, Teenz Breakout Artist, Teenz Dancehall Artist/group, Teenz Hottest Song of the Year among others
