Buganda and Kampala regions have launched a joint Taskforce for National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer, President Yoweri Museveni ahead of 2021 general elections.
The function held at Golden Tulip Hotel in Kampala on Saturday was presided over by the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) Vice Chairman in charge of Central Region, Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi.
The mainstream Executive Committee include; Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi as chairman, Singh Katongole as Vice Chairman, Minister of Local Government Raphael Magyezi in charge of Finance, Faridah Kibowa and Deborah Kinobe in charge of women’s desk, Rogers Mulindwa as general Secretary who is also in charge of media and Shafiq Mwanje who is in charge of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs).
Others include; Muyanja Mbabali as opinion leader, Ibrahim Kitata, Bulegeya Rogers and Agnes Kirabo in charge of Youth desk, Titus Kiwanuka in charge of veterans desk, Godfrey Kirumira who is in charge of business community and Maureen Mulangira as an administrator.
SUB REGION COORDINATORS
Salim Uhuru has been named sub regional coordinator for Kampala, Hajj Twahir Ssebagala for Greater Mukono, Christopher Nkoyoyo for Greater Luweero, Israel Yoga for Greater Mubende, Peter Ssenkungu for Greater Masaka, JohnBosco Lubyayi for Greater Greater Mpigi and Stephen Nkata for Wakiso.
The meeting was also attended and addressed by Hon Mathias Kasamba, the NRM Secretariat Director in charge of mobilization, training and cadre development.
Kasamba called on the appointed office bearers to work closely with the party structures especially the 30 leaders at every branch.
