
South Korean President H.E Park Geun-Hye has Saturday afternoon arrived in Uganda for a three day state visit.
Geun-Hye who is visiting Uganda for the first time was received at Entebbe International Airport by Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. Sam Kahamba Kutesa
The President who is touring the region is expected to hold summit meetings with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss measures to enhance each nation’s relationship with Korea.
Museveni and Korea have had a good relationship from since he captured power in 1986 as he visited he visited Pyongyang three times in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Just recently, President Museveni held a meeting with a South Korean delegation from Zion Korea Limited Company that is interested in investing in the Ugandan energy sector.
The two presidents are expected to discuss about investment especially in the energy sector and Park’s delegation will sign key business agreements with the Ugandan government.
