
At least one UPDF Soldier has been killed in a night attack on the army’s Gulu Detach by unknown assailants.
The soldier still unidentified was shot dead in a fire exchange that started at around 3:00am according to local reports.
The Gulu Fourth Division Army spokesperson Ahmed Hassan Kato confirmed the development, revealing that at least eight guns were taken by the attackers who are now being hunted.
The army detach which was established during the heat of the Joseph Kony commanded Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency is said to have reduced its guard since peace was restored in the area.
