In a bid to achieve victory for both district Woman Member of Parliament and chairman LCV party representatives in the coming district elections scheduled for September 21, 2017 , the NRM Deputy Secretary General, Richard Todwong has Thursday morning flagged off constituted parish teams to conduct door to door campaigns in Pakwach district.
The Deputy SG is in Pakwach to deliver victory for Jane Abur Pacuto and Robert Steen Omito, the NRM flag bearers for the District Woman MP and the LCV Chairperson respectively.
Todwong who has been camped here for over a week now, says his team has been split into smaller operational units to deliver messages of peace, reconciliation and transformation for prosperity to the voters.
“The biggest challenge in Pakwach is not the political opposition but the rivalry among party members thence the need to emphasize unity and reconciliation among themselves. I am hoping that the parish mini rallies will solve this problem and bring back the lost unity among the NRM supporters,” Todwong said.
According to Rogers Mulindwa, the communications officer, NRM, the new strategy is meant to reach more people in a shorter time as the Election Day nears.
He also noted that the parish mini rallies will also continue alongside the door to door operations.
Since his arrival in Pakwach, Todwong has conducted several administrative meetings geared towards reconciliation and joint focus on earning NRM victory in the coming polls.
