
The body of former Presidential Commissioner, Mzee Wacha Olwol who passed away on Tuesday in Kampala,

The body was received by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah, Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Winnie Kizza, Minister of Public Service Muruli Mukasa, Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa, Members of Parliament from Lango sub-region led by Santa Alum and Clerk to Parliament Jane Kibirige.
Mzee Wacha Olwol was part of the three man interim government of May 1980 to December 1980, serving as titular Head of State together with Justices Polly Namuconco and Saul Musoke.
The body today Thursday, lies in State where the Prime Minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda is expected to to move the motion to pay tribute to the former leader. The motion is to be seconded by the Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Winnie Kiiza.
Tomorrow Friday 5th May- at 10:00am, a Funeral Service will take place at All Saints Cathedral Nakasero.
After the Church service the body will be airlifted to Lira for public viewing at Lira District Council Hall at 2:30pm. and at 5:00pm it will be taken to his ancestral home at Corner Amach.
Burial is to take place Sunday 7th May at 10:00
