
The fight to bring sanity in the local topflight football league, the Uganda Premier League is intensifying with the Secretariat imposing more disciplinary measures on teams whose fans, managers and players faulted the code of conduct.
The latest casualties are SC Villa and Lweza whose fans and coach have been fined for respective misconducts.
According to the statement from AUPL, SC Villa will pay UgX 300, 000 after their fans caused a three minute stoppage when the club was away to Vipers SC homeground in Buikwe on April 1st.
“SC Villa fans threw stones to the field of play which resulted to the match being for about halted three minutes; the same fans had earlier forced themselves into the stadium without paying entrance fee,” the statement partly reads.
Pursuant to article 33(2) (b) of the Fufa competitions rules, the club is fined UgX 300,000 which must be payable before they play their next game against SC Victoria at Nakivubo.

For Lweza; Ibrahim Kiyemba, Sula Bagala and Michael Kabanda were cautioned in the above mentioned game and are therefore required to pay UgX 50,000 according to article 20(5) of the Fufa competitions rule.
On top of that, head coach Hamza Kalanzi has been fined UgX 300,000 for using abusive words in the same match.
