
Police in Buhimba Sub County, Hoima district is holding a Court Clerk on allegations of land grabbing.
The suspect Joseph Asiimwe Mulindwa, works at Kagadi Magistrate’s Court in Kagadi district.
Mulidwa’s arrest follows continuous complaints from residents of Kikoboza village in Buhimba Sub County.
Last evening, chaos rocked Kikoboza village as Mulidwa stormed the village claiming ownership of land that allegedly belongs to Joan Kiiza, James Kalisa, Frank Mbabazi and Deo Byakatonda.
Residents said Mulindwa bought one acre of land in Kikoboza village and used it to grab his neighbours’ land.
The OC Buhimba police post Bernard Egesa confirmed Kamulindwa’s arrest adding that the suspect will be transferred to Hoima Police station as investigations are underway.
By the time of his arrest, Mulindwa was found slashing his neighbor’s food plantations.
Speaking to Chimpreports, Mulindwa refuted the allegations saying he bought the contested piece of land.
