It’s a building near Ham Towers along the Makerere Hill Road (opposite Makerere main gate) has collapsed.
The cause of the tragedy is yet to be established, but it is believed that dozens of people have been buried in the rubble.
The Building called Kyasekka Towers was incomplete, but was being used.

Our reporter Michael Ntezza at the scene says Police and rescuers has so far recovered one body are working hard to find survivors.
“The scenes are really shocking here,” he says. “One person has just been pulled out of the rubble alive but with no hands.”
A number of bodies were by evening still helping police to move the rubble, including Uganda Red Cross and the Kampala Capital City Authority.
