A 22 year old student of Uganda Christian University Mukono, has drowned in a swimming pool at one of the hangouts in Mbarara town.
Victor Mbuga was found floating dead in tycoon Fred Kafooko’s Big Fun Entertainment Centre swimming pool in Boma.

Mbarara Police’s head of criminal investigations Taban Chiriga told Chimpreports that they are holding two people to help in the investigations; including David Agaba, a friend of the deceased who showed up at the police station with the latter’s clothes and wallet to report the death.
Mbuga’s mother was devastated by the news
Preliminary police investigations reveal that the late Mbuga disappeared at around 5:30 pm on Wednesday April 06, 2016 and his friends came to report to police at around 12:40 pm on April 07, 2016.
On recovery of Mbuga’s body in a swimming pool, it was taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem.
Police officials support Mbuga’s mother
Chiriga warned all swimming pool proprietors around Mbarara to establish trained rescuers in case of water accidents.
