Maureen Kyalya Waluube, one of the unsuccessful candidates in last February’s presidential elections, recently picked up a fight with opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party supporters, which she apparently isn’t ready to let die.
The social media brawl which peaked last week with a ferocious Facebook post in which she branded the supporters as miserable sadists, and its flag bearer as a failure; it seems is only getting started.
She posted last Tuesday, “…stay in your 20year dream world alone, because Besigye will never peacefully become president of Uganda.
Kyalya then ditched the political sieve and further charged, “Besigye is Museveni’s rival and will never reign if Museveni lives. You want him into power, go and kill Museveni.”
The post attracted majorly abusive responses with many commentators branding her mad, and in dire need of mental help.
Last evening, Kyalya came out and admitted to some of the accusations, first that she is indeed mentally challenged, as suggested by some of her attackers.
She posted, “I will help you and accept that I am mentally ill. The real question is, So What? Does my illness make you more intelligent?”
Kyalya quickly added that like herself, all those attacking her opinions were equally crazy, and challenged them to prove her wrong.
“None of them can share a medical report that they themselves aren’t mentally ill,” she retorted.
But since it is cruel for a sound person to attack and beat up a mad person, Kyalya faulted the FDC army for coming down hard on her.
She noted, “I can only advise you as a mother that a fool should not make you a fool. A mad person (too) should not make you one.”
