Shock has engulfed residents of Hoima after a 30-year-old boda boda cyclist committed suicide after he lost his motorcycle to a conman.
The deceased has been identified as Hasan Mugisa a resident of Ibambara –Kasasa village in Busiisi division.
The body of the deceased was discovered dangling on a rope in his house by a Boda boda colleague who had gone to visit him.
His friends say on Monday morning, a man identified as Hasan Alinde contacted the deceased seeking his services.
Alinde wanted Mugisa to help him clear ‘his land’ for construction. Mugisa used his motorcycle registration number UEL 032M to go and visit the site.
On reaching the site, Alinde asked Mugisa to help him with his motorcycle to go to Hoima town to pick construction materials but he never returned.
Devastated, the friends believe Migisa took the decision to take his life.
