Police in Kampala is investigating circumstances under which two people were shot dead at Maj. Juma Seiko’s home in Nakasero.
The duo of Lameck Ogwang, a security supervisor with a private security firm, SGA and Fred Ssembatya, a boda boda rider from Mengo were shot and killed by Maj. Ogwang’s security guard, Alex Cherotik.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Emillian Kayima confirmed that the incident happened at around 3am on Sunday morning.
“An askari to Maj. Juma Seikos home located at Plot 1A Nakasero Road shot dead two male adults, Ogwang Lameck who is a security supervisor with a private security firm called SGA. The 2nd dead man is Ssembatya Fred who is a boda boda rider along Balintuma Road in Mengo,” said Kayima.
He noted that the guard shot at three people, killing two and that the third is admitted at Mulago hospital in critical condition.
“The third is critically injured and is in Mulago for an operation. His name is Ssenkubuge who was shot in the thigh,” he added.
Kayima also said that the suspect who is an army veteran and a guard at the home in question has been arrested.
“The killer gun is with us. Statements have been recorded,” he said.
