The body of a Ugandan man is stuck in Dallas Fort Worth, in America after failure to raise the money required for its repatriation to Uganda.
Adam Ssenyonga, who was a resident of Dallas Fort Worth, also a long standing member of the Uganda North America Association (UNAA) breathed his last on Friday October 7th.
Ssenyonga’s friends have described him as an ‘amazing great man, known to have mentored many in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.’
“He was very instrumental in UASCRF Sickle Cell Campaign and the return of a body for a young woman who passed away years ago in the Dallas area. Adam’s death is a big loss to the DFW community” said one of his friends.
Members of UNAA have since launched a fundraiser, aimed at raising enough money to be able to return the body to Uganda for a proper sendoff ceremony.
Details of the burial arrangements are not yet clear as the focus is on raising money to return the body.
