CAA Shine in Corporate League Maiden Circuit

David Odeke struck 26 points to emerge the best male player in the recently concluded first circuit of the inaugural corporate woodball league played on Sunday 28 August at the GEMS Cambridge International school.

About 93 men and 68 ladies participated over the six gates where ten points were on table for the overall team ranking.

Odeke, a player from Speedag Inter freight emerged the best despite tying on 26 points with Pius Kauka but won strokes per game. Odeke had better accounts on gate 2, 4 and six.

Herbert Banananuka (Cipla QCIL) finished third with 27 strokes through the six gates.

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) trio Mariam Nansukusa, Ivan Ssentongo and Daniel Sakka combined to a total 117 points to claim the first team circuit.

Nansukusa scored 24, the best from the ladies group followed by Judith Oseku (Spear motors) and Hilda Ngala (Cipla QCIL) with 31 and 33 respectively.

There are over 30 Corporate League members including Spear Motors Ltd, Vision Group, Civil Aviation Authority, Hotel Africana, Spedag Interfreight, SCD Darling, Fiduga, NSSF, KCCA, Stanbic, DFCU, Uganda Breweries, MTN and Airtel.

The Federation had earlier in the year donated a set of Woodball equipment to these companies to get them ready for the competitions.
